I've never used the reusable kind but I used to use disposable ones called Instead cup. I think they have rebranded and have another name but I think if you Google it it pops up with the new name. I always got them at walgreens. Once you get the hang of inserting it, they are pretty cool. You don't feel anything and you can wear them for a long time.

I use a DivaCup and LOVE IT! It took me a cycle or two to get the hang of inserting it, but I've never looked back. I have fairly light flow so I can just empty in the morning and before bed and not think of it again.
As for saving money, hell yes! It cost me $35-$40 (Canadian) 7 years ago and I'm still using the same one. If you think about it, I've spent less than $6 a YEAR on feminine supplies!

I really like the idea of it, but it kind of freaks me out... I should just bite the bullet and buy one

@MrsMac: Wow that really is cost savings! I mean a box of tampons costs me probably $7-$8, and I go through about 1 box per month.

I use a diva cup and I really like it. As @MrsMac: said, unless you are having a super heavy day you really only need to worry about it in the morning and at night so it cuts down on the trips to the bathroom midday. There is a bit of a learning curve so wear a liner the first cyle or two you use it and be aware that on heavy days you might not want to change it in a bathroom that isn't private.

@JerricaBenton: How long would you say a box lasts (I saw one with 14)? 1 cycle, 2? Wonder if there's alot of cost saving with the disposable... I definitely would prefer to move to the cup over tampons though for the health benefit!

@runsyellowlites: It seems like it's been so long since I've had a period! I am pretty sure a box would last me at least one cycle. I have a medium/light flow and I would just wear it all day and then wear nothing or just a pantyliner for bed so if my period lasted for 6 days,I'd just use 5 cups. The last day it's usually too light to bother.
