I had a c-section and recovery was horrible. Most people I know who have had both preferred their recovery with a vaginal birth

I also had a pretty rough vaginal birth that took at least 6 months to recover, maybe a year to feel normal(ish). DS also had a giant subdural hematoma & collapsed lung at birth, Apgar was a 2/non-responsive.
I gave birth at a hospital birth center that has one of the lowest csection rates in the country, VERY pro-natural birth. The attending a OB did say I could call csection because of his position or I could try to push again. I decided to push and sometimes feel like I caused his birth injuries (aaand crying).
Every birth is different. There is no "right" way.
