@MCD919: @lilyann: @Mrs. Champagne: a 4th preggo joining!
My goals are to:
1. Refill my water bottle twice during the day-that will put me at 96 oz of water a day, which is the minimum of what I have discovered I need to feel decent.
2. Try to eat veggies with as many meals as possible.
3. Yoga once a week, walking at least 2 times a week.
4. I might try some of these squats, but I don't know if I can get all the way up to 250! Maybe just 25 to start?
ETA: oh, and my PT exercises to help with my hip.

I'm in! I'm starting a biggest loser challenge at work, winner takes all!
*Bring my lunch everyday. I eat so much better when I make it at home. We have an amazing cafe at work but I don't make very good choices....
*Hit the gym at least 3 times a week.
*Floss every night! I've gotten way off track with this
*Wash my face every night. I have a very bad habit of going to bed in my make up.

@MsLipGloss: I did elliptical for 30.
@Smurfette: we have one too.. Love it! We still need get treadmill.

Maaay have overdone it today. Did JM's 6W6P, then the squat challenge (the one with the alternate types of squats), then I was still feeling good so I did it through 2 more times. Still feeling good so I did the one @loveisstrange: posted, and then the first squat challenge again. Then 50 jumping jacks and 50 of the squat + weight raise things that JM does in 30DS.
I'm feeling pretty good now, a little bit sore in my thighs, but I'm worried I'm going to not be able to stand up tomorrow!
GOLD / pineapple / 12662 posts
@Smurfette: We've only had it a few months, but it is super convenient. And, a nice elliptical was much cheaper than replacing my work wardrobe. I feel guiltier though when I slack, because it's right there!
@lovehoneybee: Dooood. WOW-What a monster day! I would seriously recommend lots of stretching, and a couple of aspirin before bed (to help with any delayed onset soreness).

I have logged every day this week, and weighed in at a half pound less this morning. I'm upping the ante! I want to see the next 10 lb bracket on my scale, which will put me dangerously close to pre-preg weight.
DH carved out solo time for me the next 3 days to go to the gym. I'm ready!
GOLD / wonderful pea / 17697 posts
@MsLipGloss: Shockingly, I'm feeling okay today! I can definitely feel it, especially in my abs and shoulders, and my thighs are pleasantly sore, but not nearly as bad I was anticipating. I did stretch a lot last night, and took a long, hot bath before bed.

@lovehoneybee: Hopefully you'll stay feeling great! The big *ouch* sets in on me the second day after the workout (if I haven't done another workout that day).

@MrsBrewer: @Smurfette: I'm pretty sure I'm going to fee stupid for asking this, but MFP????
Okay, here's mine. I've been doing Weight Watchers, which is going well, and I joined one of the 6 month DietBets.
1. Keep tracking food & staying within points.
2. Cardio at least 3 times a week.
3. Do squats, lunges, or ab work during some of my TV time after the Baby Dudes go to sleep.

@MrsBrewer: Ughh... I knew I was going to feel stupid for that one. Thanks!

@Mrs. Blue: Don't feel stupid!! I'm just lazy and I don't like typing it all out!

@Smurfette: it's this website that has "bets" that are either public or you can set up your own for a certain amount of weight loss in a certain time frame. For instance, the one my BFF and I are doing is a public one (anyone can join) to lose 10% of your body weight in 6 months. Everyone pays a certain amount for their "bet." Every month, their is a goal (like lose 3%, an additional 1%, etc.) that if you meet you share in the winnings for that round. Then, at the end of the 6 months, there is a bigger pot of money and everyone who has met the goal shares that. Does that all make sense? I think it makes it kind of fun and motivating because I like money!

@Mrs. Blue: Interesting. It would give me more incentive to keep on it. I would be pissed if I lost money. I am giving myself $5 for every pound I lose. So I can save up and buy myself something without feeling guilty.
Did my squats last night!
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
I think that's a great incentive, smurfette! I'm also going to buy myself something nice when I get to the point I want I don't like the dietbet idea because it doesn't really take composition into effect, which wouldn't help me out!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
on 2nd thought....I am going to increase that $5. Mama needs more then that to get a nice bag
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
@blackbird: yeah, DietBet really only works if you have a more significant amount of weight to lose, rather than needing to just drop a few pounds or tone up, although you can actually set up your own bets with whatever basis you want I think.

I've been doing the squat challenge for 2 days now and am feeling really great about it!
I tried to drink a green smoothie today but left it sitting on my fence before heading to work, doh.

@MsLipGloss: I just printed out your squat plan pictures. Thanks, lady!

@MrsMcD: Do it to it!
I have fallen off the *squat* wagon, but I am hopping back on! Everything else is on track, except for the doughnuts I ate this morning (and the chocolate ice cream last night!). Ah well, everything in moderation, including moderation! No guilt, just move on!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@MsLipGloss: "Do it to it" is the hot phrase in my house as of late. Where's it from?!?!? And yes... squats are a thing now for me. I've been able to maintain an eight pound weight loss following a six day juice cleanse and that's keeping my psyched. I just got over the flu and dropped one more pound! Hooray! One more pound to go and I will start counting the real weight loss since these first 10 pounds I'm losing shouldn't even be on my body in the first place. I don't even have a baby or pregnancy to blame!!!!!!!!! FML!

@MsLipGloss: Instead of different squats, have you thought about lunges? It'll work the inner thighs to balance out the larger quad muscles being used!
@KT326: I try to floss during lunch. I'm using too zonked out at night to do it!
I think i'm in.
1. Wash my face/remove makeup every night. I know that sounds gross but seriously, by bedtime i just don't care!
2. Go to yoga 3x a week
3. Plank challenge. Hopefully get to 5 minutes by the end of Feb?? We'll see!
4. No candy in Feb. Seriously, i ate a whole bag of Haribos in one sitting the other day.
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21628 posts
I definitely see a result from all the squats! I'm up to 110.
blogger / honeydew / 7081 posts
I'm at 100 squats...it's getting easier to do those first 50! I'm down 5lbs since I started tracking calories on January 1- which is ridiculous. I'm so used to PCOS making it impossible to lose weight.
blogger / honeydew / 7081 posts
@Freckles: no candy?? What about discounted valentines chocolate on Feb 15th? Lol
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@MsLipGloss: I have dropped my squats too:( back tomorrow!! Doing good with the diet.

I took an "extended" rest day on my squat challenge and got back at it today .. Day 5 of the multi squat program. Broke a sweat but feeling good!

@redsmarties: I still allowing chocolate!
I did day 1 of squats while waiting for LO to fall asleep.

@MsLipGloss: with that squat challenge, do they just have to be completed throughout the day (say, some in the morning, some before bed, etc.) or all at once?
GOLD / pineapple / 12662 posts
@Rainbow Sprinkles: Either one works - they can be done in groups throughout the day or all at once!
GOLD / pineapple / 12662 posts
@MrsMcD: As I recently learned from Wikipedia, it's from an old t.v. series "Movin' On" . . . one the show, the phrase was "do it to it like Sonny Pruitt" . . . (after the show ended, the phrase changed to "do it to it like Sonny Pruitt used to do it") . . . The series ran from 1974-1976. I am guessing it just got shortened over time.
I also learned that the theme song, "Movin' On", was written and performed by Merle Haggard, and was a No. 1 single on the Billboard magazine Hot Country Singles chart in July 1975. Giddy up!

I did a bunch of squats within a metcon today and thought of this thread :silly
If anybody wants a solid 25 min at home circuit, 3 rounds of this will do it:
10 burpees
20 push ups
30 sit ups
40 squats
50 sec plank

@blackbird: Trying it!! I made that ST Macaroni Casserole tonight. Really good! I hope R likes it too!
