We just booked our hotel for dhs dirty thirty birthday party in Vegas! I've only been to Vegas once and that was try and find chum lee.
Anyways what shows do you recommend? And any fun nightclubs? We're staying at the ziggurat suite in new York new York, anyone stayed there?

Have an awesome time! We love Vegas!! I recommend seeing a Cirque de Soleil show if you can! I loved Mystique and Love. I also really recommend taking a trip to nearby Red Rock Canyon. It is breathtaking and only 30 minutes outside the city. We even saw cute mountain goats! How often do you get to see mountain goats?! I hope you have awesome weather, are you going soon?! We have always gone in March and it has been hot and sunny!

@delight: @scg00387: Ok I'll add red rock canyon to the list. And cirque de soleil! And we are going June 14. We live 5 hrs away so we will be driving. Mountain goats! I can't remember if I've ever seen those. Thanks for the suggestions ladies!

@anonysquire: haha I vote Vegas nails!! Keep in mind that this is what our basement Christmas tree looks like.... So maybe get some other opinions too

Shows- Chris Angel, magic show. Didn't attend, but DH is a huge fan. We ended up going to see Pitbull in concert at Mandalay Bay instead- out voted by other the other people we went to Vegas with.

I agree with seeing a Cirque du Soleil show, or the one at the Wynn hotel is pretty good also (can't remember the name right now). Eat at the Bellagio or Mirage buffet for dinner - so good!!

Oooh VEGAS! We're going again in 2 months, I can't wait. NYNY Casino is great, we spent a lot of time there. Definitely check out the replica Eiffel tower for great views, and go to Hash House a Go Go at the Quad for some enormous portions of delish food. We were lame and went to bed at like 9 on our honeymoon so I can't recommend any clubs LOL.

I don't love the Vegas all that much, HOWEVER, I think my absolute MUST-do would be stocking up on drinks (whether it be a dollar beer from one of the creepy guys with the coolers outside the Bellagio or one of those obnoxiously large yard glasses of Long Island iced tea stuff) and just...watch people and talk crap. Seriously.
People watching in the Vegas is so fabulous.

@ms.janedoe: Lol I don't drink, I should have mentioned that. But I'm sure DH will be taking advantage of that stuff. Tell me I'm not crazy for going to Vegas with 20 people and being the only one who doesn't drink....?

SO much fun! I stayed in NYNY but not that part, it's a great hotel. For sure catch a Cirque show & do as much people watching. And I think it's a necessity to have at least one outrageously priced fancy and delicious dinner Some place you will never get a chance to eat again, especailly if it's his dirty 30!

My favourite club is Tao at the Venetian. There are so many great clubs though. If you let me know which ones you are interested in going to and the dates, I can probably have my friends add you to the guestlist so you can skip the lines and not pay cover. Its usually an hour or two wait if you are not on "the list"
My favourite show is O, bu you cant go wrong with Ka, Mystere, Zumanity or La Reve. If David Copperfield is still there, thats a great show too.
The dueling Pianos at NYNY are superfun, and rokbar is a great place to start the night if it is still around.
The best brunch in all of Vegas is Bouchon. They have amazing beignets. Mesa Grill and B&B trattoria are two of my fav restaurants.

Totally favoriting this thread - we are going to Vegas in 9 days!! DH and I have both been to Vegas on multiple occasions, but always separately... this will be our first time going together!
So far, we've got tickets to KA, reservations at Craftsteak (Tom Colicchio's steakhouse, I'm a total Top Chef fan), planning to go to Bacchanal Buffet (new one at Caesars).

Yes this whole thread makes me want to go to Vegas next week over March Break so badly. I've even started to look for last minute deals.
I forgot to add that at the Olives restaurant at Bellagio, they have the best butternut squash ravioli ever. It's a great place to go for lunch!!
