apparently, obama wants to introduce verichip - i guess like a microchip for dogs lol. they implant it, scan it and can get all your info, you can pay your bills, etc. would you get it?
my first thought? 666, mark of the beast! i do NOT want to get it. is it me, or does it seem like the end times are coming? lol....

no frickin way. I was talking to someone about this the other day, and if you could ":microchip" your baby with just a GPS locator, no other info, would you? Id consider that. But a chip wtih all my info? Heck. No.

@sorrycharlie: Yeah, I agree with you - I find it hard to believe that Obama is pushing for something like that. According to the wikipedia page, its manufacture was discontinued in 2010.
I definitely wouldn't get it though. I still don't even have a smart phone!

btw, i don't find it hard to believe. i think every president wants to leave some sort of legacy. like obamacare.

I think it would be useful in cases of severe medical conditions and allergies. Microchips are certainly very useful where pets are concerned too.
My first rule is to never trust anything in Wikipedia. I tossed Verichip into a few of the political fact checkers, and all I came up with was this:

Interesting it is allegedly the other end of the political spectrum in this other reference. I would research it more, but I'm going to bed before the baby wakes up again

I would never get one, but it's incorrect that the president is pushing for it or endorsing it.
