I hear the iPhone 5 will be out right around the time for our last upgrade...
But I've heard the services with VZW iPhone is weak compared to AT&T. I currently have an android.
Which smart phone do you have and what would you recommend?

I have the iPhone 4 (not 4s) with Verizon. I've had it since last year - I find the service to be fantastic! I've can count calls I've dropped on one hand.
The only issues I have are with the phone itself, not the carrier. keyboard annoys the heck outta me, constantly typo-ing and then it remembers the wrong words and autocorrects to a misspelled word. sigh.
ETA - it is true that you can't access internet while on a phone call (at least, on my phone, anyway..maybe the new one will allow that?) but I can honestly say I have really never had to do that. (talk and browse).

I have the iPhone 4 with Verizon Wireless and love it! I was on AT&T before and hated it. As soon as my contract ended, I left and my DH added me to his account. Go with the iPhone!!

I have the iphone 4 with Verizon and have never had an issue with dropped calls. Verizon has a much larger network where I live, so it's the only carrier I would ever go with.

Great thread! I'm about to upgrade to a smartphone with Verizon too, and I'd love to hear some opinions. My husband has an iphone through AT&T, but I don't love the keyboard... so I'm in the middle of researching other options.

I love my iphone 4. I recently upgraded from the Driod X and I MUCH prefer the iphone. I've never had a problem with the Verizon network. Everyone I know who has AT&T drops them as soon as they can!

I'm liking the responses about the iPhone! I'm kinda wary of the all touch screen... but I hear the iPhone 5 is supposed to be amazeballs!!!!

I love my Samsung Galaxy Nexus! I told Wagon Sr. I wanted the fastest phone with the prettiest screen and best camera. I'm totally satisfied with it.

@mediagirl: lol. Videos and youtube uploads! The Iphone's uploads are a pain in the ass. You have to put a title in, put tags in 2 different spots. -.- I have to watch my video upload too. If my screen goes black, I have a 50/50 chance if it actually uploading.
Android is awesome because I can upload a video I took a week ago, but when it uploads, it automatically dates and time stamps the video as the title. -

@mediagirl: Yeah you have to DL the gmail app. And I haven't found a good gchat app either. So I don't use either on my phone!
