Our old, crappy Summer Infant monitor has been giving us hell for the past year. Tonight it finally kicked the bucket. I'm online looking for a new one, but there are so many options. I thought I'd just let you guys help me out...
Recommend a monitor that has a decent range and will be compatible with two cameras. Preferably under $150. And won't break five times in a year.

@photojane: I wonder if we have the same crappy summer infant one. I'm so annoyed with it- it just goes out of range all the time for no reason. I live in a 1000 sq foot condo, I'm never out of range!
So no help but I willbe watching this two as I think we will need to upgrade before two long.

FOSCAM. I bought a 2 pack online for around $150 I think. It's more of a security camera but your hubs can look at them (and speak through them) at work/on his phone. The image is also super clear.

@Reese: seconded! My LO isn't here yet, but I have a Foscam that I've used to check on DH when I'm away from the house. I set it up wirelessly so I can easily move it to the baby's room. I will say, it was a pain in the butt to set up initially, and I'm a tech person! They have good support, though.

@Foodnerd81: It was AWFUL. I'm kind of glad it broke for good, so I can get a different one!
@Reese: @macintosh: foscam makes me nervous! I read a bunch of stories about strangers peeping at babies. People can break into your stream or something.

@photojane: I think they are way more secure than Motorola/equivalent cameras which randomly get picked up by neighbors by accident! There are settings to make it very secure. I'm not worried about it.
@macintosh: I agree that it is annoying to set up. We actually only recently set them up and are having issues accessing them remotely/when we aren't on our wifi. Did you have this issue? I know this is fixable but we haven't had to address it. Right now we just use them to watch our dog sleep lol

@Reese: Did you set up the port forwarding on your router? You need that so you can get a public IP. Once that is set you must use the private IP when you're on your home network and the public IP when you're away. I had to call support to get it all figured out. Also, the audio on the actual Foscam app didn't work on my phone so I had to buy a 3rd party app.

@macintosh: we had our techy friend hook it up which is now out east for a few months 
so everything you said is almost Chinese to me. I use the FoscamPro app. It had better reviews. Sound worked no problem,

We just transitioned LO to his room and bought a foscam. Love it so far! DH set it up. It did take him a while, but I don't think he had any issues with set up.

I don't remember what model we have but we have a Levana. We have two cameras and I think we paid 120! Granted, it's the only video monitor we've ever had but as a nanny previously, I've used many and the one we have seems just as good as all the rest!

I love our Motorola video monitor! We just bought a second set for our twins' room. It might be a little over your price range but well worth it!

We have the Levana Ovia and like it! I was gonna get the Motorola but I think after comparing the 2 Levana had better specs? I don't even remember!

Infant Optics! It's $99. Can add up to 4 cameras. It feels chintsy, but it's held up for over 2 years! I've only had to replace the battery once. You can't zoom or pan or talk through it, but I can see and hear my kid - that's good enough for me.
