My little guy is 6 months old and still receives most of his nutrition from breast milk. I'm wondering how long you continued to give Vit D drops, when did you stop?

As I recall our pediatrician told us to give it to him as long as his primary milk was breast milk. We gave it through one year while I was still nursing.

I kept giving it to him until he turned one and transitioned to Milk.

Xander's 9 months and still gets the vitamin D drops! Though I'm bad about doing it every day... bad Mama...

we stopped during summer months and quickly thereafter he was on solids full time and we never picked it back up (he was 7-8 months?)
he's on almond milk+solids now so we won't be supplementing this winter.

@Adira: me too- this thread reminded me of them and I felt guilty. I wasn't strict in the summer since we were out in the sun a lot but need to be better now. It will be a while before she's getting any nutrients from food even after we start solids in a month or two.
