This isn't exactly a sleep *problem*, I'm more interested in why she's doing this. We put S down in her moses basket, in her room, for naps. A week or so ago we started doing the routine where we'll watch for her sleep cue (yawning) then swaddle, put some background music on and put her down awake. Then we walked out and shut the door only going back in to rock if she started crying. At first we had to go back in several times before she fell asleep, but now we are down to going back only once if at all.
So the thing is, I watch her on the monitor almost the whole time and every 20-30mins her eyes will be wide open, she stirs, wriggles a bit and lies there for a few minutes before drifting off again. Is this broken sleep normal? I don't know if she does this at night because honestly, I get my head down as soon as she does! I'm pretty sure she doesn't do it in the ergo or pram though and am wondering whether she doesn't feel comfortable or secure being left alone.
What do you think? The total length of the nap time (with all the random wakings) is usually 2.5-3hrs.
