We are extending our current 10x10 patio to make a larger space for our furniture and toys. We are keeping the current concrete patio because of the cost of labor and then materials to remove and then pour it again. We want to keep this in a very reasonable budget so we are sticking with plain concrete.
I want to decorate it a bit with a brick border around the current patio (I think) and then a brick border around the new patio. Here are two sketches I came up with yesterday.
Do you like either one? Do you have a better suggestion? The top drawing has our "stuff" drawn on it to give you an idea of what we have already. The only items I drew in that we don't already have are the planters (aka things that look like they could be bushes) around the curved part .
The second photo I uploaded is an idea of what I'm thinking of for the border.
Our house is a straight line in the back, no bump-outs. Even though my drawing is not in a straight line, the house is a straight line.
