Most people seem to say that the second child comes a little earlier than the first? Trying to see if this is true... My first was 9 days late so I certainly hope so!

Nope, I was banking on this and very worried he would arrive before we had help to watch our first son.... but #2 took his sweet, sweet time. I definitely learned first hand that alllllll pregnancies are different, and even though #1 arrived at 39 weeks, that does not mean #2 will arrive any sooner- he showed up exactly at 40 weeks.

With DD, I was induced at 40 weeks 6 days (which resulted in a csection). DS#1, my water broke at 37 weeks 1 day. DS#2 hung out until my scheduled csection at 39 weeks. So, mine made NO sense!

My first was born at 42 weeks so I was shocked when I went into labor with my second at 39 weeks.

Yes! DS #1 came on his due date (induction) and DS#2 came early (and very unexpected) at 37w 4d.

Both overdue, #2 was two days earlier than #1!

DS1 came 10 days early and DS2 came 6 days early. I expected DS2 to arrive a little earlier.

Yes, but barely. I was 40 weeks plus with both. DD1 came at 40+4 and DD2 was 40+1!

Yes, first was 40 + 1 and second came as a surprise at 38 + 1. I thought for sure I'd go later with my second.

I was induced on my due date with baby #1
baby #2 came at 38+6.

Nope... My kids kept coming later and later! DD1 was 38 + 3, second was 39 + 5, and my DS was 40 + 1!

Not earlier, just quicker (in terms of labor). Both were girls and around the same size (5 lbs 11 oz and 5 lbs 14 oz).
#1 arrived at 37 wks, #2 at 39 wks. If I hadn't had an internal exam that morning I think #2 would have stuck around till her due date.

By about an hour, haha. Both came on their due date, but my second was born at 1pm and my first at 2pm.

Yes! DS was 4 days early. DD was 3 weeks early!

A week early for #2. Four days late for #1.

This is somewhat encouraging... M came at 41+5... Really hoping the next one comes earlier than that!

3 days late for #1, but #2 was born at 36+4!
