It's been pouring for the last 2 days in New England and we have only been in our new house since the end of November (so only snow until now) ... Anyway, my husband checked around noon and all looked good. I just went down and found a portion was wet, up to an inch in some spots luckily it was 99% in the unfinished portion... Turns out the sump pump in that corner was unplugged, ugh!!
So my question - best way to clean up down there?? We have been sweeping water into the sump pump and using towels to sop up some near the drywall and wood in one spot. What else?! When it stops raining we will open windows and run a fan down there to mitigate mold issues.... But I feel like we should be doing more??
Thx
