My stepdaughters wanted us to name our baby this if it was a boy because of the member in One Direction (though he spells it Zayn). I liked the name before they suggested it for that reason!

It was on my boy list! We new a very accomplished swing dancer name Zane, so I would have always felt a little weird borrowing it from him not knowing if his talent was part of the appeal for me.

DH has a cousin Zane who is like 25, I like it! His mom laughs that it was so out there when she choose it and now it's more popular.
