Speak with your OB about what is best! I don’t think age should stop anyone! I’d just believe you should run it across with your docs and see what’s best! Go for it!

I feel like I could have written this myself! (Except I'm still on the fence about a 3rd.) How long is your ideal for nursing your baby? Because of age, I'd probably weigh your desire for a 3rd baby with your desire to nurse your baby. My friend stopped nursing her first at 6 months so she could start trying for her second asap. I'd probably first try to stop nursing during the night. So cut out all night nursing and maybe you will start to ovulate soon. Give that a couple of months try, and then start cutting back from there. Because even if your goal is 12 months nursing, maybe you can still make it to that and get back to ovulating without fully stopping. I hope it all works out for you! I'm so excited for you to try for a third and wish I knew one way or the other how things will go for me (leaning towards no on this particular day!)
ETA: I'd sort of get to TTC asap.. you never know when that first egg is going to drop and maybe you can catch it!! (I say this as someone who needed IVF for first baby and then surprise pregnancy with the second while I was nursing)

I've also been thinking about this recently. I'm AMA and have one LO. Initially the plan was to wean him at a year and start TTC for another then. It took us about a year to get pregnant with him. I think I'd be ready to TTC by his first birthday, but I'm increasingly feeling like I'd really like to continue breastfeeding past a year. No period yet, so I think I may just play it by ear.

I agree with above to think about cutting night nursing if you do any. My first stopped night nursing around 3m and af arrived right at 7m so my cycle must have started right when she started solids. My second nursed once or more per night until he weaned and I did not see af until then (~13m). Everyone is different but might help. I’d probably do that and then think about weaning completely to do meds at 12m since that worked well for you before. Good luck!
