I recently took my crawling lo to an indoor play area that was very clearly marked (in several locations) as a shoe free zone. However at least half the adults were stomping around with their nasty shoes on. It was so gross, I just picked up my lo and left.
Would you say something? It's just so nasty to have little babies crawling around where your disgusting shoes have been!

People tend to not follow rules. When LO was littler I also dealt with a lot of older kids in areas marked "2 and under." So these huge kids were running around when my poor LO was just learning to cruise and find her way around. Like you, I just picked her up and left. I felt like it's not my place to tell others what to do.

@spaniellove: yeah, right? We never wear shoes in the house either, so it really grossed me out.
@Thehistoryofus: yeah that's what I'm thinking. Unfortunately we live in WA where it basically rains from now till May I wish there were more hygienic indoor places to play.
@artbee: that was another concern too! These huge kids were running around and it was totally unsafe for little crawlers.
@Mrs. Pen: I just glare at them... Haha so passive aggressive of me.
