I’ve see many posts about how Hellobee has been neglected and today mine is acting like it’s not optimized for mobile. So I’m getting the desktop version even on my phone. Anyone else?? Are the Bees even here??? Is this thing on??

@gotkimchi: When I try to switch to mobile view at the bottom, it does nothing. I realize that the Bees have had a lot of stuff going on in their lives, but I wish they would make some sort of statement/ just tell us how it is.

Mine is still showing in Mobile view, but that could change if everyone else is having problems.
persimmon / 1310 posts
Mine is currently in mobile view, on an iPhone. I know, it’d be nice if they could hand it over to someone who could prevent it from falling apart.

@Iced Tea: jealous! I’m on an iPhone too. It was in mobile this morning then just flipped and that was it!
I would at least appreciate an update if this is defunct or not - like should we report stuff or just live with it

@gotkimchi: can you clear your browser's cache and see if that helps? Not sure if that is a thing or not on Iphone

Just realized I’m having the same issue on my iPhone so I can commiserate...

@yellowbeach: @petitenoisette: I at least wish someone would address this stuff

Same as @yellowbeach
Sometimes boards will show that their is a new posts but after I click it will only show old posts.

@rpparker: Yep, same here.
This website is turning to garbage without the maintenance.
pear / 1955 posts
Agreed. They must still be making money on ad content - can't some of that go toward hiring someone to do tech support/maintain the site?

What about tagging the bees? I also noticed it says ‘not secure’ website when I type in the address.

@808love: I posted on the "help" board months ago and got no reply. Not sure it'll help tagging them...

@808love: Try the colon : after their names. I think that tags them?
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
I love the Bees and totally understand their lives and focus are very different than what they used to be! But I def can see how our community would appreciate an update on the "state of affairs" for this blog/board, and the future direction.
I have to give it to all the bloggers after that one thread to really jump start the blogging themselves again!
nectarine / 2243 posts
@808love: yes I noticed that too. I wasn’t posting for a while because I didn’t want to log in on new devices with my password. I thought it was because I was out of the country but I guess not
hostess / wonderful persimmon / 25556 posts
@808love: if they're not already posting in a thread, it won't tag them. You can message them separately, though.

@snowjewelz: I agree.
On another note: just poking through the code it looks like the mobile view depends on two things: a mobile UserAgent value (this is specific to each browser/OS combo) and the ability to set a cookie. Most likely the cookie that had it set to mobile view expired on your browser.
It may not solve your problem, but maybe it can help you troubleshoot?

@LindsayInNY: @808love: fyi you can only tag people who have replied to the thread, its not like tagging on IG or Twitter where they will get a notice if you type it in.
@gotkimchi: Mrs Peas is helping them with admin stuff, I walled her about this thread.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Mrs. Tiger: I did not know that you can't tag people outside of the thread!
squash / 13199 posts
Yeah I agree that things are not the same anymore. That was one if the things I liked about weddingbee intially and the. The early days of hellobee when mr and mrs bee were very handson with the site

@looch: I know for my due date board: 1. we had to create it and the OP has since had a loss so she's stuck seeing it there (that was why the "due date" user was created). There haven't been any new ones since October and we're easily into February for due dates. 2. The boards don't refresh so you'll get an email there's a new post and it will take HOURS sometimes for a new page to appear and show it.
pomelo / 5298 posts
@LindsayInNY: regarding the page not appearing, it has to do with deleted posts and how the program is handling page changes. We had this issue in our due date group. The suggestion was to start a new post/thread.
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@MamaG: or you can change the page number to the next number in the URL to force it to the next page until the website catches up to it
bananas / 9229 posts
@MamaG: I don’t think it does. They’ll be brand new posts from me that don’t refresh a page. Nothing deleted.
@Sams Mom: Changing the page number doesn’t work. The content still isn’t there.
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@LindsayInNY: It works for me when the POAS board is gltching. I can't comment until I go back to it's last recognized page, but at least I can see what people are saying.

Hi all - I apologize for just now seeing this thread! I have been helping Mrs. Bee out with the site over the past few months but I admittedly haven't done a great job lately in keeping up with the boards (I still work full time & have 3 little boys under 5, but I am hopefully transitioning toward a more flexible work schedule soon ... anyhow getting back to the point). Are any of you still noticing glitches? I am not a technical person but I do work at a software/ tech company and can Slack a friend and/or work with Mrs. Bee to figure out what's going on. I am also working earnestly to get you guys better, more consistent content. Please always feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or ideas for the site. We are working to keep this a wonderful place for all of our readers.

@Mrs. Peas: I think the main problem a lot of is have is when a thread adds a new page it won't load for a long time, even though you can continue to add comments.
blogger / apricot / 275 posts
@Sams Mom: Thank you! We will try to figure out what's going on.
