On a whim, I picked up a copy of What to Expect Before You're Expecting, because DH had said he wanted to start a family within the next year or two. The thing that stood out to me the most in it, is that it says I should be in the "ideal" BMI range before TTC in order to not only help me conceive easier, but also in order to have a healthy pregnancy. I would have to lose (at the very minimum) 60 lbs to be teetering on the edge of what would be 'ideal'. I have never in my adult (or even teenage, for that matter) life, been even close to that weight.
I am curious if I really have to lose that much weight before TTC, or if it is possible to have a happy, healthy pregnancy above that.
