What was the weird thing that you loved to eat as kid that many other kids wouldn't touch? For me it was canned mushrooms. I'd open a can and eat the whole thing as a snack!

When our mom was at work, I would make myself and my sister hotdog pineapple stir fry.

I had a lot of non-Asian friends growing up... and when I offered them rice crackers and dried squid they would look at me like I grew another ear. I'm pretty sure a lot of people love this stuff like I do!

Sweet potatoes. Loved them, but most of my friends thought they were disgusting.

I like a lot of food that has been featured on Bizarre Foods but they are very normal and delicious to me. LOL I have eaten and enjoyed these ever since I was little: chicken feet (dim sum), bitter melon (in a soup or stir fry), liver with onions, century eggs, and durian ice cream to name a few. I have no idea how I am going to introduce DD to these foods though she doesn't even like eggs right now.

@Kimberlybee: I liked liver as a child too!
I loved oysters as a child too and I still love oysters!
The grossest thing I loved as a kid was Vienna sausages

@sandy: I LOVED Vienna sausages and spam too! I am a foodie though, I enjoy my food! Maybe I should figure out what I don't like to eat. As Garfield would say " Diet is Die with a T"

@Kimberlybee: my husband and I are very adventurous eaters too...we LOVE food and love trying new foods! I LOVE spam!!!

I think other kids liked it too, but it sounds gross to me now... I used to love cream cheese and jelly sandwiches.

I loved "fried bologna and cheese" - essentially a slice of bologna, a slice of craft cheese, cooked in a pan til the cheese melted (or in the microwave once I was old enough to do that myself). Now I think that sounds pretty gross

There were these little microwaveable snack bowls of macaroni and cheese that I would devour as a kid. Even as an adult. Everyone I knew that tried it said it was disgusting. They discontinued them in 2010 (probably because I was the only one buying them), I remember because I had one that year and let DH try it and he declared it tasted like cat food. Lol
I loved them. I still look for them at the store whenever I go. Yum
I also used the eat raw hot dogs too. I definitely do not do that now.

My sisters and I made kimchee sandwiches. Bread + mayo + kimchee. The thought of eating a kimchee sandwich now makes me wanna gag

Bologna - I would eat like 3 slices of it at once.
Now... not so much!!

bologna sandwiches on white bread with ketchup. I have no idea why we ate so much bologna as kids? Does anyone even make it now?

@rahlyrah: Nope. Kids Kitchen I think. All you did was peel off the metal lid and stick it in the microwave.

OH yeah, fried bologna! We used to love it with eggs! Not sure what weird stuff we ate....

Ham, butter and lettuce sandwiches. I would probably still love it. I also really liked brussel sprouts and lima beans.

Olives - I'd eat them like candy. And - this is so gross - pancake batter. I would make a mug of pancake batter and drink it like a milkshake. VOM.

Peanut butter, pickles, and mayonnaise sandwich. My mom would put a cutting board straddled on top of a pulled out drawer at my height so I would have a surface to work on and I would pretend to have a cooking show and make "my specialty".

Wonder bread with white sugar. One of my babysitters made it one day. DELICIOUS.

Kraft dinner with soya sauce. Or those smoked oysters in a can.
