We've lost our blu-ray remote. I'm annoyed plus LO keeps asking to watch movies (plus that's how we watch our nightly netflix!) I've torn every room in this house apart and can't find the stupid thing. (We've been looking since yesterday morning!) Give me some fresh ideas...what's the weirdest place LO has stashed your remote?

This isn't that weird in hindsight, but our remote fell into a rip in the innards of our couch. We lost the remote and, of course, pulled off the cushions and searched in the crevices, but couldn't find it. We found it YEARS later. We moved the couch to the basement and finally decided to sell it on Craigslist. When we were moving it back upstairs, we heard something rattling around inside. I had to cut open the lining to figure out what it was - we couldn't find the original entry point.
I've also found it in our metal kitchen utensil drawer before (with our whisks, spatulas, etc).

Well, this was my own stupidity but I once left the remote in the fridge...

My nephew looooved playing with the remote when he was little - my SIL has found it in his toy box, under the bathroom sink, between cushions in the sunroom, and in his bookbag at preschool (he wanted to take it with him to school?!)

LO put our Apple remote on top of his zany zoo. I looked everywhere and never thought to look there! I found it a week or two later.

Inside a garbage truck of my son's. I just found a different remote control in the back of a dump truck.

Ours has a tendency to slip between the cushions and fall under the couch. Can only see it if we lift the leg rest up!

Bottom of the Lego bin! Not that weird but I wouldn't have looked there.

Vase in the formal living room by the front door. We never go over there! Found it months later after we bought a replacement remote for $30. Ouch!

@Mrs. Champagne: oh gosh. I don't think our remote would fit through the vent covers. Thank god. Otherwise it would totally be there. My kid is out of control lol

Our Roku remote gets swallowed in the couch all the time!
We both downloaded a Roku app on our phone that replaces the need for the remote. Is that option available to you for BluRay?

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I'm not sure. DH has a remote app on his phone that can turn it on/off but it doesn't allow him to access the available apps. Our Blu Ray player is 3 or 4 years old so I'm not sure if that would ever be an option! We should further investigate!!
