'Fess up. Were you one of those that tested immediately? A few times a day? Or did you wait?
We had a strict rule of not testing till my period was over a week late. I'm glad bc seeing the 
was much harder than having AF arrive for her monthly visit!

1st month TTC I started testing a couple of times daily from about 10dpo until AF arrived at 14dpo! I was convinced I was going to get pregnant that cycle. I didn't however and 2nd month I was much more laid back- I didn't test until 12 or 13dpo when I got my BFP!

Yes! When we were TTC, I tested like crazy...even after I got the BFP!!
This time around, since we're technically NTNP, I'm surprisingly NOT being Mrs. Testsalot...it's like I don't wanna know, lol. I'll just wait on AF to show up!

I tested A LOT. From 9 dpo until AF arrived. Especially while NFP to prevent just to make sure.

I usually tested the morning my period was due, and only if my BBT hadn't dropped, never before. I hated seeing negatives too much.

With P I did great not testing until af didn't show.... this time I spent WAY too much on tests & if they were in the house I was peeing on them! lol

No, I was too chicken to test. The cycle we TTC I was under a fertility clinic and we had a preg test booked with them 14 days post ovulation so I didn't test myself ar all, wasn't even tempted. So even though I have a seven month old, I've never seen a positive pregnancy test for myself.

As much as I want to test at like 9DPO, it's so much easier to handle one negative test than 5, so I wait until at least 12DPO.

I tried not to. I made a few exceptions: I tested 2-3 days before AF was supposed to come because I was going out to an anniversary dinner with DH for wine and sushi!
The next month I tested before starting a diet.. Turns out I for a false negative because a week later my period was 3-4 days late, I tested and it was positive! I was shocked. Then felt so bad for being in a calorie restrictive diet that whole week.

I really thought I would have self control. I do not. This month I am not bringing any tests into the house until hopefully 12 dpo. We'll see how that goes.

Yes, I was. I had so many negative tests and evap lines. It was such a shock when I did get two lines.

Not a few times a day, but I would test when I knew it was way too early. After that disappointment I'd wait until the day after I was supposed to get AF.

Yep, as much as I tried not to, I tested way early. I got faint BFPs on 8 and 9 dpo and a digital BFP on 10 dpo.

When I first started TTC I had no idea what DPO was and when you could take a pregnancy test and get an accurate result. So I tested when I noticed I had symptoms, metallic taste in my mouth, frequent peeing, and it was negative, for a least 3 days so I thought I was nuts, then I waited until my period tracking app said I had missed my period and tested again and it was positive.

The first few months of TTC, I started testing around 12-14 DPO and tested every morning. After TTC with no success for 6 months, I started waiting longer after DPO to start testing, but always tested a few days prior to AF's expected arrival. Seeing the sucked big time.
Even after I got my 
, I continued testing every day until I had my 1st appt because I had a previous loss.

I wasn't HORRIBLE but the one month I was really bad was the one I got my ! I think that's because I just felt so off I knew something was going on. I didn't believe any of them though because I knew it was early. Got the on the day my period was expected.

I tested a couple times between 8-10DPO because I was hoping I would be one of the lucky ones that got an early + I ended up waiting until the night before AF was due about 14 DPO and got a very faint + . I didn't get a dark line until about 16 DPO.

@regberadaisy: "WE!?!?!" There was no "we" when it came to testing for me. My body, I test whenever the heck I want. He "kindly suggested" I wait until I miss my period. I already had stock piled pregnancy tests at work and at home. I said, "Okay, dear" then BAM - LOOK! POSITIVE TEST!

I tested at 8 dpo. Got a super faint positive so I wasn't convinced. I took one everyday for like 5 days. At that point I was convinced

Oh man, I could not have waited a week after AF was due!! And actually, since I was seeing an RE I would've had a blood test before that, lol. I was definitely a chronic tester.
Partially because I had a friend who got a positive at 7DPO. And partially because I was doing ovulation triggers that show up as positives at first. So I would test out the trigger and see if it would go away and come back, or get darker. Or just go away all together.
If I waited until a reasonable time frame, but before the blood test, I wouldn't have known if I'd seen a positive if it was real or the trigger. And the curiosity would be killing me. I'd rather know and be sad for a minute and go on with my day instead of wondering all day if I was or not. There were times though when the trigger combined with blue dye tests really messed with me and I was testing over and over, lol.

Yup I'm a chronic tester! I start testing a couple days before AF is supposed to arrive. I hate seeing the but I just have no patience! Plus I keep hearing about all these women who get way early!!

I was except for the month we got our BFP, even before TTC, the was worse than AF. BFP - I waited until the day after AF was due before testing

Oh yes! I started testing at 8DPO every month and even tested a few times in between just to be sure! Then, after my BFP, I went through 14 more tests over the course of about 3 weeks to make sure I was still pregnant! Oops. I still get that excited feeling when I see POAS posts now!!!
