Not really, once I felt the POP from my water breaking I knew he would be here within 24 hours. I had been planning to wait for contractions to get a pattern, but called the on call doc just to give them a heads up, he said to come in now since they hadn't started yet. We went in 2 hours later after I finished my work projects, we put the Christmas tree away, and the basketball game finished.

My contractions got close together fast so I knew it was coming soon. Except I think I had the opposite problem, I went to the hospital too early and they sent me home. I only lasted an hour at home though, everything got stronger and more painful and I just had to go back.

I think I'm going to be over-eager to get to the hospital. With me, my mom denied it all day ("It's just gas!"). She was sitting in admitting at 6 pm, and I was out by 6:14 pm.

No because I was past my due date so I was really excited to be in labor and was glad I wouldn't have to go through induction as I really did not want to end up having a C-section.

I was in denial, even though I was 4 days past my due date. I figured the contractions I was having were just another false alarm. I didn't believe it until my water broke at the restaurant.

I'm so happy to read about all of y'all going into labour naturally past your due dates. I'm at 39 weeks now & don't want to be induced.

@Maysprout: I was one of those people who went to the hospital too early! It wasn't because of the pain though, it was because my contractions were so close together, even though they were mild. I called my doctor and said they were 3-4 minutes apart so she told me to go.
