Yes, I always pretended to be a long suffering princess having to hide in the woods aka the basement hallway illuminated with a green light bulb.

Not terribly but I remember loving Belle. I wanted Barbies because all my friends had one and we couldn't afford one! I was so ecstatic when a friends mom bought me one for my birthday one year!! It was my prized possession for many years.

Oh yes. I pretty much lived in a fantasy land and pretended to be princesses all the time. Sitting on top of the dryer wrapped in an afghan waiting for my prince to come. Dropping paper flowers on the floor.
I also thought I was going to be a mermaid one day.

Yup! I refused to wear denim for several years and just wanted to dress like a princess. I wore princess dresses everyday to kindergarten and dress shoes with lace ruffle socks. I may have even worn a tiara....

No, never princesses. Hated them.
I did like playing house and pretend cooking and being mommy to my baby doll though. So, dolls: yes. Princesses: no. -
Nope- I had a strong preference for the 101 dalmations though!

I loved the movies but was more of a tomboy in my actual play.

Love Pocahontas and Mulan as a kid and not the typical Disney princesses like Cinderella or Belle. Just liked seeing a character that looks like me on the big screen.

Nope. I had Barbies and stuff but I was never into Princess stuff. I think kids today are more into it because it's being pushed on them so much more than in the 80's when I grew up.
