I have very early memories of my parents reading to me from a young age. I love reading and writing, and I think that early exposure contributed to my interests. I think it's so important to read to kids, and I'm excited about LO's growing book collection 
DH said he was never read to when he was little. I was shocked that he didn't recognize a lot of my old favorite childhood books!

All the time. I loved reading as a child...we make it a part of LO's daily routine to read to him!

Yes, all the time! My dad and uncle would record books on tape and trade them so we could play them whenever we wanted. I swear following along with that helped me read a lot earlier.
I've been loving that after he turned 1 my little guy has been bringing us books to read to him and paging through them in his own too!

Nope. I think my parents would read to me if I asked, but that was a rare occasion. My dad sang to me a lot though.
I didn't really start becoming a reader until I was about 16 or so and now I read to our kids all the time and plan to read to this little guy even more once he makes his appearance!

all the time! I was an avid reader for all of my childhood, and now too--as a grad student, my job is basically to read and write all day long every day

Yep! And so was DH, and we have read to LO every night since he was 4 weeks old.

I don't remember them reading to me, but I did enjoy books myself. I love reading now, when I have the time so I don't think in affected much. I read to LO as much as I can though.

My nana read to me every morning when I spent the night at her house. It's was our morning ritual. I'd take a huge pile of books into her room and climb in bed with her.
