I was relieved because I just wanted to bond as a family of three! I was happy to have family help us out but it was a little overwhelming!

I was sad to have my parents leave, though I'm sure DH was relieved. They live across the country and it was really special to spend that time with them. Plus they were a big help.
On the other hand, my MIL, as much as I love her, got on my nerves right away because she kept trying to force me to sleep. I know her intentions were good, but it was annoying!

Mixed bag, but overall I was relieved. It was only my mom, but she was here for 3 weeks, and our apartment isn't very big. I was sad she was leaving (she lives across the country), terrified about being home alone with DS while DH was at work, but really relieved to have our space back, and have time to bond with just the three of us.

Both my mil and I were very sad when her initial visit came to an end.

I was kind of sad. My MIL was a big help and when she left, I was suddenly on my own because DH had gone back to work.

Both. I was SO sad when my parents left. I was super relieved when my ILs left. I enjoyed SIL and BIL's visit because I was feeling really good by then, but I was anxious for them to leave so DH and I could enjoy the rest of his paternity leave.
