I use the remington wet 2 straight 2 purple straightener (got it at target). Im happy with it. As for damaging the hair, em it probably does but I havent noticed any drastic damages (not more than usual from using straighteners).

@turtledoves Ive used it right out of the shower after towel drying before when I was in a rush. It wont completely dry your hair if used that way but it does enough, for me, to keep my hair from looking a hot mess if I didnt use it at all....
I usually just blow dry my hair quickly to stop my hair from dripping water and then use and it works.

I use the Remington Wet 2 Straight one too and I absolutely adore it! I have thick long hair, and it takes a while to go over, but I can usually shower and have it completely straightened in an hour or so. (No blow drying - just toweling off my head, and letting the straightener heat!)

It does make a wicked sizzling sound though, so even though I don't notice a difference in hair damage, it certainly makes you feel like it can't be healthy, ha.
