I am not very picky, and I am usually open to at least trying just about anything, but I hate ranch dressing and tuna fish. They make me gag! What are some foods that most people like but you don't?

I'm not a big fan of carrots, which I feel like EVERYONE likes! I can handle them in soups or stews (when they're cooked and mushy haha) but eating it with ranch or on a salad? Yech!

@keiki_mama: OMG my DH hates cheese, too. He won't eat anything with cheese in it. I thought he was the only one!

@lawbee11: it's funny because certain things with cheese I will eat (i.e. pizza and lasagna)--is your DH the same way? I can't stand cheese burgers, nachos with cheese, cheese with crackers.. ew!

Mayo.
Ranch dressing.
Sour cream.

Most casseroles.
Bubble gum.
Fruit flavored candy, most candy except chocolate, mints, and jelly beans (but I only eat the popcorn and mocha flavors).
All meat, especially pork and seafood. (Obviously, I'm a vegetarian)
At least all the things I dislike aren't very healthy anyway... I guess I'm not a fan of a lot of the traditional American things. I eat a lot more international food.

Jelly beans, gummy bears, and gummy candy. Yech!
Also no bananas. I just can't eat them without thinking of BJs and I get super self-conscious.

@keiki_mama: No, he won't eat anything with cheese (no pizza, no lasagna...he won't even eat spaghetti if it has parmesan on top).

Pineapple. I've never liked it. My mom tried to sneak it in a cake when I was little - I took one bite and said "eeewe this has pineapple in it!" She thought she could trick me I guess LOL
Also, I don't like celery. And I'm allergic to cucumbers, but don't like the taste of them anyway. (although I eat pickles and absolutely love them - something about the pickling process kills whatever it is that gives me sores in my mouth - sorry a little TMI)

bacon! i really don't like most smoked or cured meats (except prosciutto and salami)... so bacon and pastrami are at the top of my list.
GOLD / squash / 13464 posts
Any condiment (people are most horrified by the fact that I don't like ketchup), coffee, shellfish of any kind, sushi, beer. I'm sure there are many more. I'm a picky eater.

I don't like raw tomatoes (though salsa is ok) or mushrooms of any kind. Not a huge fan of green peppers either, but will eat them if they're cooked and mixed in with other things.
grapefruit / 4669 posts
I don't do mayo or olives, but I wish I liked them because they're all over the place in food and recipes!
blogger / watermelon / 14218 posts

sandwiches (eww, the texture)
anything cold and vinegary like deli-type things
chocolate - I actually went so far as to ask Paul Rozin, who studies food and disgust, about this. He says it's perfectly valid and there are definitely people who hate chocolate!
