@autumnlove: we cook it on a baking sheet in the oven. Completely changed my world and how I saw bacon.

Oh, I love bacon so much. Have you tried cooking it in the oven? Wouldn't say it's hassle free, but I prefer it to the microwave. No splatters and the texture is better.
@Mrs. Bee: I also like fish, but don't cook it at home very often. Our rental home doesn't have an oven hood, so smells linger for a long time!
French fries ALWAYS count. We do sweet potato fries in the oven, but I won't even try to imagine they're in the same realm as though perfectly golden, crispy wonders.
I don't cook fettuccine alfredo very often. Not because it's hard to do, but because I'm so aware of just how bad it is for me when I cook it myself! I prefer to have my 1-2 times a year splurge out in a restaurant.

@Jennimac: you beat me to it! I prefer the oven cooked temp to what you get from a microwave, too. We line it with heavy duty aluminum foil for easy clean up. I once cooked on a rack so the grease could drip, but the clean up was too much.

@Mrs. Bee: I like to cook fish in foil packets. No smell, easy clean up.
AFM, I like to cook with our George
Foreman grill--all sorts of things on it, but it's such a pain to clean up that I avoid it like the plague. I even tried putting foil on it so it could make it easier to clean up and it was not cool that way.

@Jennimac: @Happygal: I have never tried cooking it in the oven!

@Happygal: it sooooo much crispier and I can cook it and forget it. We do 325-350 for 25-30 minutes. Just depends on what else is cooking.

@AutumnLove: try it and you'll love it, I promise. I read a recipe one time that called for putting brown sugar and something else fancy on it while cooking. I didn't love it.
@Jennimac: "it was not cool..." that made me laugh. I had one of those in college, as I think every other college kid probably did. It's very appealing like that!

@Jennimac: @Happygal: doesn't it make a big mess in your oven with all of the grease splattering?
@autumnlove: another option is on the BBQ! It gets so crispy! Mmmm.
I love most desserts but I am terrible at baking. Pies, cakes, cookies...yum!

@Sammyfab: for reasons unbeknownst to me, it does not make a huge mess. I don't get it, but it's true.
I'm also not so great with any baking that requires precision. I like recipes where there is some room to improvise!

@Sammyfab: I think because it cooks slowly, it doesn't really splatter everywhere. I love it. I let the pan sit out and the grease will firm up, then I just pull up the foil and throw away.

Oven bacon FTW!! In the summer, we put the baking sheet on the BBQ and cook it outside to keep the bacony smell out of the house.
I never make rissotto because its too much work

@prettylizy: why wouldn't you want your house to smell like bacon?!?! I loooove the smells of bacon and campfire!
I'll definitely try oven bacon too!

Egg rolls! They're actually crazy easy to make, I just don't do it often.
Challah bread- DH makes it for me. It is a process and its very unhealthy so we only make it a couple times a year.
