I haven't had any bizarre cravings yet, the only random craving I've had is for carrots and peanut butter.
I reallllly crave Korean street food, but alas, I can only mimick the real stuff here.
What are some of your cravings, pregnant mamas?

I crave sweets, specifically strawberry or cherry filled turnovers/pastries. I can eat them all day, not good as they have not a single ounce of nutrients! haha I need to cut back before my glucose test!

@mrsjyw: omg I've been craving Korean food too!! Very weird because even though I'm 100% Korean I grew up hating Korean food. Especially because I can't stand spicy foods. I have probably eaten bibimbap (the only thing that I can really trust around here, we have NO good Korean restaurants in the area) about 25 times this pregnancy... more than my entire life combined!!!

Right now, it's cookies. I just ate two and now I'm not sure what I'm going to do for my post-lunch dessert. Good thing I have to run some errands during my lunch break! And (hopefully) only 2 weeks to go until I'm done being pregnant!
At the start of my pregnancy, it was Mexican food. And it didn't even need to be good Mexican food (I made a "run for the border" at Taco Bell one night to satiate it!).

Tocino! It's sweet cured chicken or pork cooked until slightly caramelized. I just watched a video on how to make it yourself but I need ingredients and it'll take a few days.

In the first trimester, i really had a craving for tomatoes wih salt. I had at least 2 tomatoes every day. Now, it is candy. Chewy fruity kinds specifically, like mentos or gummi bears or sour gummi worms.

@MamaMoose: i know, now im thinking about picking some up on my way home from work! It was something about the savory and slightly sour, juicy texture that just hit the spot for me. The best is of course home grown, they taste so much better than store bought. Yum!

@hellobeeboston: i am totally cliche too, i love pickles. I put them on all my sandwiches! I also ate a lot of cuke and tomato salads too. Lots of salt, some balsamic and olive oil. Yum!
