Hellobee Boards

I have kept very little from Wagon Jr.'s babyhood... just the hanbok shoes my mom got for his Dol (we borrowed a hanbok). As soon as we found out LMW was a girl, I purged everything that wasn't gender neutral... which was almost everything past size 0-3 months!!

I have a few dresses I can't bring myself to sell of LMW's, and of course her hanbok, which I think I will also hang in her room! The colors match what I want her room colors to be. And her shoes and a headband which my mom got for her.

I am such a hoarder but with easy and affordable access to photo-books and digital cameras now, I find taking a picture to save for memory is enough for me. I am only keeping the take home outfit and her 1st bday dress.

Edit: adding in baptism dress and first Easter outfit too.

I am saving a fair number of clothes with the idea to convert them into a throw blanket. If he never wants to use it thats fine, I'll keep it at home for him.

I plan to keep his collection of Cars Movie die casts, those will eventually become Christmas tree ornaments. I also have a collection of snowflake ornaments that I am gathering year by year.

As for his art work, I have put everything from the past year into a large bin. I've aksed my husband to make a plan to photograph everything so we can make it into a photo book. I'll frame some of it, but I want to get ahead of this one.

I think I am going to limit myself to like one small box of clothes. Maybe her first easter dress, first shoes, etc.

I have 1 bin for saving things so I have an outfit or 2 in each size. Some were dressy, some were gifts and some were in pictures. I've also saved a crocheted blanket, some hats and a pair of shoes. I have his baby book, his hospital bracelets/card/ect and his first haircut in there too.

Like others, right now I've saved everything in hopes of a second kiddo. I framed a pair of tiny peep toes she wore to a wedding in a shadow box with a picture of her newborn feet. I'll probably keep her first Christmas dress and a little monogrammed sweater she wore all the time. I don't know past that! I'm so emotionally attached to it all still right now.

Coming home outfits, thing 1&2 shirts, baptism outfits...I think that's about it. I have their first shirts and hats in a shadowbox too.

Other than that, everything will get passed to our sisters, and I can't wait since we are done! We currently have everything else in tubs filling up our closet and garage, and it makes me a little nutty!

I'm doing a small box of his 1st everything for his first year. His first bday outfit, his coming home outfit, his first Halloween costume.....

But, I don't have to worry about it yet because I'm keeping all the clothin until were done having kids entirely, even then, if they're in good condition, I'd rather hand then down than sell them so they can share sentimental value and be free for a friend or relative:)

@Andrea: well, the thing is, ours was a pair of doctor scrubs with his name embroidered into it (it was a gift from his doctor grandpa before he was born). So- it wasn't just a Halloween costume. I honestly don't know if I would've saved it otherwise because LO didn't even trick or treat!!! He sat on the patio with me and passed out candy, lol.

So far I have only saved a few things, hats and t-shirts from the hospital and a few favorite outfits. But #2 just moved up in sizes and as I went through everything 0-18m I realized there are many more favorites that both of them wore, I am normally not a "saver" of things but this will be hard!
