Are they picky about it? Do they want to wear the same shirt/pants/dress/outfit every day? My daughter is obsessed with her "camera" shirt. It's just that - a tee shirt with a camera on it. She would wear it every day if I let her. I have convinced her that shirt takes a long time to wash.

We have a Minnie dress that has a tuelle skirt, it came in a sack of hand-me-downs from my sister. I normally don't buy character stuff but she would wear this every day if I let her, I have hid it before! ha

IDK if it's because I have a boy, or it's just his personality, but he doesn't usually have any opinion on clothes. Occasionally he'll be happy if I point out his shirt has a fire engine, or a plan on it, but he definitely doesn't have favorites or care what I put him in.

@ShootingStar: mine is the same. I will ask her a dress or pants and then let her pick (just the weekends) but she doesn't have anything she wants to wear all the time. The only thing she cares about is what leotard she wants to wear to gymnastics.

My daughter is obsessed with spiderman and would wear spiderman shirts or pajamas all day everyday if I let her. She's in her spiderman pjs right now and we might just wear them to library since it's not worth the fight.

@mediagirl: similar. my son is very opinionated about what he will wear and when things are dirty he gets really upset (why can't you wash it RIGHT NOW?) He doesn't get that laundry takes like 2 hours, if I have that time right now.
But one day to the next it's not the same outfit, though I may have a string of days "why is my alligator shirt still dirty" or "where are my patch pants?" -
Minnie Mouse, Elsa and Anna (literally AND, she won't wear the shirt I bought her with just Elsa), or Hello Kitty. I have bought her all these cute sweaters and tops that have no characters and some of them have never been worn.
I am scared about what will happen when she transitions over to preschool level at her daycare. They have a "no character clothing" policy.

Not specific items, but he always wants to wear comfy pants (sweats or something) and a zip up hoodie.

My son has no opinion re: clothing, but he does insist on wearing "comfy" pants too! No more jeans
. He does love his winter hats and usually is opinionated about which one he wears each day.

She's cool with whatever. Last year it was the red sundress and her jelly shoes. I'm surprised she's not more outspoken about it, generally she has lots of opinions.

she has gotten really into pockets! so not one specific item, but I can usually get around her "noooos" when she's throwing fits about getting dressed if I pull something out with pockets

DS1 (who is 3), only really has a preference for "soft" pants. Like boy leggings, sweats, etc. He's not a huge fan of jeans despite my urging. I've found that putting him in jersey lined jeans helps though.
Basically he likes soft clothes.

My son is interested in dressing "like an astronaut", which means white tee shirts and dark pants. Since I don't buy him white tee shirts, he has been going for the white/blue striped ones lately.
My daughter wants everything to be pink, and usually wants a dress.
