I'm having old high school friends coming over on Saturday to meet LO (last time I saw them I was 30 weeks pregnant!). They're not staying long but I wanted to have some apps out for them. What are some of your faves?

Mozzarella Sticks, Spinach Artichoke Dip, Veggie and dip, Pita bread and hummus.

Mmmm.. all of the above plus, mini quiche, all dips, deviled eggs, potato skins, calamari, stuffed mushrooms, fried zucchini, fried shrimp!

For standard apps -- deviled eggs, pigs in a blanket, veggies + dip.
If you want to go fancier, then I like olives, grapes + cheese plate, and figs or melon wrapped in prosciutto -
Caprese salad, selection of cheese with crackers, bread, some honey and fruit preserves (especially with goat cheese!), olives, nuts, guacamole and chips, salsas and chips, hummus and pita chips.

All of the above plus shrimp cocktail, sweet potato fries with ailoi, smoked salmon canapes, samosas!
@ecogirl: I'm not from the midwest and I love all finger foods, but I have to say, sliders and pigs in the blanket are the two that I always go to first (and then hover around till I'm full)

Love all appetizers! I wish all my meals were appetizers. But hubby wouldn't be very happy about that.
