The water thing is totally me, too. I also always have to have tissues, gum, and lip balm. I cannot go out of the house without these things.

My other quirk is that I need to have the fitted sheet on my bed as smooth as possible, and the covers tucked in at the foot of the bed. I don't really care if the bed is made or not as long as the sheets under me aren't rumpled and the covers on top are firmly anchored so they won't shift around too much.

Oh, and I keep any fortune from a fortune cookie that amuses or delights me.

I can't stand having my sheets or covers messed up. I have gotten upset with DH more times than I care to admit over this.

I also have to have some kind of candy with me at all times. I have some hidden in every purse, jacket, etc.

My toe nails must be painted at all times (even chipped, just have to have SOME polish on there lol).
I have to have absolute quiet when I'm sleeping, to the point where I usually have a fan going to block out any noise (probably can't do this when LO gets here haha!)
I love love love brightly colored/patterned socks. I don't own any white socks at all, and have no shame mis-matching them

i never knew how many people were quirky about their sheets! DH is like this. if i go to sleep before him, he'll come in, rip the sheets and blanket off me to straighten them and then get in bed...he literally has to wake me up just because he can't go to sleep without straightening them!

@grizz: Ummm...it's quite possible...heh. I could seriously fill a hefty novel with my many many quirks.

@Alivoo01: I eat one thing at a time too.

I really hate my food touching unless its a bread product, especially if there is a sauce or dressing on things, I try to make bread dams between all my different foods on a plate.

I am not a very good sleeper, so I do a lot of weird things to help my sleep, I sleep with an eye mask, and if we spend the night somewhere and I forget it, we have to find somewhere to buy one.

@Pirouette: Yes, my DH always has to re-adjust the sheets when he comes.

I have to eat each type of candy bar a certain way. Usually it involves nibbling all the coating chocolate odd, then nougat, then the caramel. Kit kats have to have all the side chocolate eaten off, then wafers separated and eaten one by one. It's a super crazy quirk.

@fussygal: haha when I travel half my bag is snacks DH laughs at me but at least the bag is lighter on the way home!

@highwire: what's that about?! Lol. Only bothers me when I've been sleeping for a while but kinda cruel!

I fidget. When I read, I tune everything around me out. I literally don't hear anything except for the book movie in my head. It drives DH bonkers, but you would think that after eight years he would know better than to try and talk to me.

@Mrs. Jacks: I eat kit kats the same way!

I sleep with a lovey. It's a small quilt that my DH got me for Christmas. I wrap myself in it before getting under the covers. I can't sleep without it if I'm home.

@Mrs. Jacks: wow! I thought I was the only one who ate Kit Kats like that!

If I have any colored candies (m&ms, skittles, gummy bears), I have to desperate the colors and eat all of a color first. And my closet is organized not only by sleeve/pant length, but also by color (as they are in the rainbow spectrum).

I'm a teacher and I can't go home at night without the desks in my room being straight in rows. We were in the school library the other day and some of the reading chairs had been moved from their usual places and I had to put them back into their "right places"... Everything in it's place!

@ninja: yep I do the candy colour sorting too!

I also line up my fries as I eat them.

I cannot stick my face underwater in the shower or close my eyes in the shower.

I cannot lie in bed with my legs straight and hands resting on my belly as I think this is the coffin position ( yep I'm a freak... I don't even know how this started.)

The thought of touching raw chicken makes my stomach turn...perhaps the gloves would help me!

My pillows on the bed have to be "just so"...piled perfectly, and perfectly situated at the top of the bed.

@ninja: I sort colors, too, but then I even them out, by eating the ones that have more, and then once all the colors are even I eat them one color at a time, lol.

I'm also weird about my dishwasher. I like the plates and cups to be arranged just right, and the silverware to be even. Whenever dh or my MIL does it for me, I have a mini panic attack and rearrange the dishwasher before I can run it.

I have to carry lip balm, water and at least one cereal bar with me if I leave the house.

I don't have a problem with my own feet yet cannot stand the sight of other peoples, even worse if they touch mine!

I have to put my left shoe on before my right, always.

I have to sleep on the side of the bed nearest the door.

I have to be on the left side of DH if we're walking along.

There's probably soo many more!
