@mrbee: Hooray for you writing fiction!

Weaknesses:
for non-fiction: my weakness is writing the lead to a story. I usually write a place holder lead and then write the rest of the story and have to go back and fix it.

for fiction: transitioning from scene to scene is difficult for me. I am also learning that I have a tendency to both show and tell in my work. So I over explain sometime.

My biggest weakness is just sitting down to write. My strength is that I'm a good writer, after all it is how I make a living!

Strengths: Fiction: Dialouge, character Essays: arguments, bringing in other texts, coherence
Weaknesses: Wordiness, long and overly complex sentences, citing sources properly (always manage to mess up at least 1 citation in an essay), for fiction definitely the motivation to write consistently

Editing myself. Brevity has never been a strong point.

(In high school, my English teacher would beg the students to give her at least five pages. And then she would say, "Espion, nothing over 20.")
