I can't handle tongue and nipple piercings. Both turn my stomach! Especially when people play with their tongue piercing!

@Beyond2: same. My cousin's husband has his tongue done and it grosses me out when he plays with it.

There are some I like more than others but none gross me out per se. I guess closest to that would be when people have the body stud things (like piercings in chest/back skin)

None really gross me out, but I wouldn't know how to... Handle... Pierced boy parts. I had a few friends with their stuff done & they liked to show it to everyone (I feel like that's a college guy thing, why did guys think girls wanted to see their junk?!), I remember thinking I hope I never came across one during a romantic encounter because it made me nervous

The only one I dislike are hugely stretched ears. Most other piercings I hardly notice.

The only ones that "gross" me out are the ones that are randomly in someone's chest or back or forearm or something. I wouldn't even say it grosses me out as much as it just gives me the chills - because I know that had to hurt

The only ones that gross me out are ones on ..private areas. Nipples, lady bits, penis. I'm not a fan of dermals but they don't gross me out!

I can't stand stretched ear lobes, they look so gross to me. I also don't like the dimple piercings in cheeks, they don't gross me out but I find them really weird. And tongue piercings just because whenever I see anyone now they seem to be stuck in a timewarp from 15 years ago.

The closest would be like the ones where people pierce 10 or so spots on their back and then tie them together? That just sounds painful! -

@MrsTiz: same! any in the private areas... there was a girl in my class recently talking about how she was going to hold her friends hand while she had her nipples pierced... I was just... why? I don't understand why people do that to themselves. So painful.

Private part ones skeev me out. And I hate eye brow rings. What's the point in piercing a strip of hair?! lol

I'm actually grossed out by the Marilyn piercing by the mouth. It seems so weird and unattractive to me.

Eyebrow. The first time I met my cousin's dad (I was about 3), I cried because I was scared of his eyebrow piercing, haha! And I've never stopped thinking they're gross. I mean, there's other's I don't get (Marilyn) or think are unattractive (nipple or septum), but eyebrow is the only one that grosses me out.

@Mrs. Pen: I had my nipples pierced and it wasn't painful at all. My tongue hurt worse.

I generally like piercings as an aesthetic (retired Goth here - comes with the subculture). I mean, some individual piercing decisions look a bit silly, but I don't automatically dislike all eyebrow piercings or whatever. However, the procedure behind pocketing/dermal implants totally squicks me out. Blegh.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: @mrsjazz: So I've got to know.... Did you guys have sensitive nipples before piercing? My nipples have always been so so sensitive (I had to sleep in a bra because my sleep shirt brushing over my nipples was like pure torture). It's gotten better since I've breastfed, but I think the idea still turns my stomach because all I can think of is the pain on an area that was always super sensitive to me.

i used to want to get my tongue pierced but never got around to it. it was a fad with my friends in our late teens/early 20s so it doesn't gross me out.
Nipples yes and so does any part of the ear that is not the lobe - hurts to look at!

@Beyond2: no, I didn't. The guy who did them used small needles and I was done in less than five minutes. The clamps hurt worse than the piercing but I am still hesitant to call it painful. I say this as the person who cried at her flu shot.
My tongue was a real bitch though.

@Beyond2: I think I prior to the piercings I had average sensitivity. Sure, the piercing hurt, but not as bad as you think it would. It's really quick--I think if you have a tattoo, you can handle a nipple piercing. It felt like slightly worse than getting your ears pierced. But one of the reasons I got rid of the piercing was because how sensitive it made my nipples--kind of like you described above--at first that was nice but then it was annoying!

Stretched ear lobes do bother me a lot. Nothing else does though.
@Mrs. Pen: Actually, nipple piercing wasn't particularly painful. The clamping was worse, but even that was fine.
@Beyond2: Mine were not sensitive at ALL before piercing, which is part of why I had it done. It's supposed to increase sensitivity. Which it did, to some degree, but still not enough that they were actually sensitive.

The tongue. Something about it makes my stomach turn. Everything else is not appealing to me, but it doesn't gross me out. I am only into female ear piercings.

I'm surprised by all the people grossed out by tongue piercings! I had lots of friends with them back in the day and you barely even notice them unless the person is one of those that always plays with them... which is annoying anyways.
