I haven't used mascara in a while but looking to buy some, mostly for going out to feel a little more like myself, I've been slacking since becoming a momma. What brand do you use? I'm hoping to find something less than $10

I alternate between Tarte and Maybelline Full and Soft.

Maybelline. Mascara is the one makeup item that I am not brand specific with and will purchase from anywhere. I have tried pretty much everything at Sephora and in the drugstore and I have yet to find a difference between any of them, and Maybelline is definitely favourite.

My fave is pretty cheap but sort of hard to find, I've only been able to find it at some Rite Aid's. It is called prestige, I've tried a few by them and liked them all, but the blackest lash one is the one I currently use.

I have 'the rocket' by maybeline I believe. And a small size of the benefit 'they're real' mascara. Both 10 or under but not sure if they always have the small size benefit one available. I like them both.

Not less than $10 but i use benefit they're real!
On the cheaper end, i used to use maybelline the falsies.

Maybelline Colossal Cat Eyes! It was a dupe for Benefit They're Real for me. And much cheaper!

I had a YSL sample from sephora and LOVED it. It's ran out and I can't justify that much money on mascara... But damn it was good.
I just picked up the new volumizing mascara by revlon and it blows.

Maybelline Colossal - any version for the most part! I use the yellow one now but I've tried the purple (great!) and teal (not great) before too. A lot of drugstores will have BOGO free or half off frequently!

Blinc "kiss me" mascara. It is very waterproof and doesn't smudge ever, instead when you wash it off it comes off as little pieces (they call them "tubes"). It's not cheap though.

Maybelline Colossal Volum Express. It's in a yellow tube. I love it, and it's only $5-6.

Benefit Bad Gal Lash...They usually have sample tubes of it at Sephora for $9 and it lasts a long time.

Another one for benefit they're real. On the cheaper end end I've liked cover girl in the purple tube.

L'oreal voluminous! I've tried at least 20 high to low end mascaras and i ALWAYS come back to this! Brands I have tried: Chanel, YSL, Benefit, L'oreal, Maybelline, Covergirl, Fairy drops, MAC and more, but L'Oreal voluminous wins!

I use Benefit Bad Gal in plum, but it was discontinued. When I got my eyebrow wax at the Benefit Brow Bar, they went out of their way to find me another plum mascara. In the near future, I'm buying Chanel Le Volume in plum.

l'oreal voluminous. i've tried tons of high end and low end brands (and yes the high end brands are better), but i wear makeup so infrequently that i can't justify the cost. voluminous is my favorite!

For cheap mascara, Maybelline Great Lash, but the waterproof one with the curved brush (its an all-pink tube). L'Oreal Voluminous has been fine too.

@mrs. wagon: Waterproof is a must. I am going to try Stiletto next!

@autumnlove: yup! I love it! I just tried Maybelline Falsies and it straightened my lashes immediately upon application back to Stilletto I go!

Maybelline great lash- the pink and green tube. I've found more expensive brands that I liked just as well, but for the price you can't beat Maybelline!

I layer two actually. A coat of Covergirl LashBlast in Blackest Black (fat orange tube) and then LOreal Voluminous Carbon Black (black tube with gold lid) over the top. Perfect combo of long and full.
Great Lash is great for lower lashes. I waver between it and the LashBlast.

This is not what you asked for because it's more expensive, but if you feel like a splurge Tarte's "Lights, Camera, Lashes" is amazing! And it lasts for ages!

L'Oreal Voluminous in carbon black - I've tried everything high end, drugstore, and in between and I keep coming back to it!

I also love L'Oreal Voluminous! It is my favorite by far of any mascara I have tried

@Bao: I usually get one of these two when I go to Target, but the Amazon price is comparable:
I also prefer the waterproof, but the regular type is great also.

I like Mabelline full and soft if I want something less expensive, but my all time favorite is benefit bad gal lash

I layer two: CoverGirl ClumpCrusher (in the green tube) and Benefit BadGal.
