1/2 cup butter
3/4 white sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1/3 cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp saltMix wet ingredients first then add dry. Chill one hour.
Roll out the dough to about 1/3 of an inch thick and then cut them out into circles with a glass. Bake at 325 for 5-7 mins. Frost with your favorite buttercream frosting

My Mom makes these candy canes cookies that are my favorite!! DH doesn't like them. His favorite are fruit cakes cookies and I don't like them!

Shortbread!
...and with no frosting blop or sprinkles, just plain! My MIL despite her hate on me always sets some aside for me with nothing on them, hers are my fave!

My aunt makes these Reese's peanut butter cups in shortbread. So good.
