I know for a temp to be considered a rise it must go up 0.2 degrees F. But what makes up a drop?
I'm currently in the TWW (10 or 11 dpo depending on if you ask Kindara or FF), and my temp is 98.18 today. Still well above my cover line, but lower that the past two days. I attached my chart so you know what I mean:
So what do you think? Was that a drop? What would you consider a temp drop in the TWW?

No, definitely not a drop (in my opinion)! For me, I didn't really consider it a temp drop unless it was down 0.2+ degrees. Your temps will always fluctuate a little bit. Good luck!

@mrs scrapbook: I don't think it's a drop yet. But, mine dropped a bit (like yours) each day until I finally got a large drop, which was unmistakable. I don't think you'll know until tomorrow if there's a pattern.

@Adira: @Hoots: @Snowdrop: Thank you all! I'm getting nervous because AF is due tomorrow, and I'm trying not to get my hopes up/worry that it's just a precursor to a larger drop! I guess I'll just have to wait and see (much easier said than done!)

@mrs scrapbook: I agree with the other side, but wanted to add that looking at your own pattern is probably going to be the most helpful. My temp usually began to move back toward the cover line about 2 days before I expected AF. When AF was due and my temp didn't drop, I got a BFP! Fx for you tomorrow!!

When mine drops just before AF, it plummets... 0.3-5 deg to the coverline or within .1 deg of it.

@MamaCate: Thank you! Unfortunately, I don't really know my pattern yet. This is only the second month where I successfully charted my whole cycle and the first where I feel like I did it "right" and really could clearly see what was happening with my cycle. Not having reliable previous data is so frustrating, but I know I have to start somewhere!
@PurplePumps: That is what I thought a drop should be...last month I did have more of a plummet, but I don't feel that I can go on that data because I wasn't temping very consistently!

@mrs scrapbook: it takes a while to find a pattern but I think eventually your past charts will help you figure it out. But I think your chart looks great so here's hpping you don't have to learn your patterns!

Doesn't look like a drop to me (at least not yet). It will somewhat depend on what your temps do in the next day or two. Good luck!

This looks promising. It could be an implantation dip which happens around 7-10 dpo. Not everyone gets a implantation dip (I didn't!) but some women do.

@Adira: they're still up in the 98s... 98.16 today. DH pointed out that the past two nights I was sweating a lot (sorry, tmi) but got a BFN this morning (10 or 11 dpo...Kindara and FF disagree on O date) and my last luteal phase was 11 days.
But my boobs are super sore and I've been exhausted for the past few days (which I originally blamed on a trip, but it lasted way longer than I expected), but I'm also cramping a bit today, so who knows!

@mrs scrapbook: I don't think anything is TMI on these forums! And that's awesome your temps are still up. Though this is why the TWW totally sucks - you take your temp in the morning and it doesn't give you ANY answers and then you just have to wait 24 hours to see if anything changes! Fingers crossed you have a BFP coming your way soon!

Thank you I'm hoping it's a good sign (knock wood) The TWW makes going to sleep so I could wake up and temp super anxiety inducing!

@mrs scrapbook: Came by to check on you! Hoping that it is just early and that your temps stay up! (I did have a month when I was really excited about my high temps in the tww but it turned out I had a fever.

@MamaCate: thank you for checking on me! I didn't even think about a fever, that could be causing all the tiredness too! So I went and took my temp just now. 97.74, pretty normal for me during the day. I'm glad I checked so I wouldn't worry about that for the rest of the day - and thank you for letting me know, I'm still so new to charting I didn't realize that could happen!

@mrs scrapbook: Off topic.... but how do you like Kindara vs FF?
I've never used FF, although I've noticed a lot of people here use it.
I've used Kindara in the past so I'm using it now that I'm TTC. I like the chart best of all the fertility trackers I've used.
A friend also introduced me to Ovuline. Not a fan of the chart, but I like tracking my symptoms and it holds me responsible for my physical activity (or lack there of) and my nutrition.

@KrzyRiver: I prefer the Kindara chart also, but I like that everyone else seems to use/be familiar with FF so it's nice to be able to share.
But I do prefer that FF takes multiple signs into account for your O date and Kindara (from what I can tell) only uses temperature.
That's why I use both - Kindara because the charts are easier for me to read, FF because I prefer their ovulation calculations.
I just keep the app buttons next to each other on my phone and put my temp in both at the same time.
