I'm starting to put together my list of things I need to buy for the hospital and postpartum. What did you wear home from the hospital and in the days immediately postpartum?

I wore dark gray yoga pants and a black maternity shirt home. I wore pretty much the same thing for the next week, almost two.
ETA: I just wore the hospital gown in the hospital.

In the hospital I wore a nursing nightgown and a robe. I went home in a nursing tank and yoga pants. I stayed the yoga pants for the first couple days, then maternity pants for a few days after that, and then I was back in my regular clothes.

I had a C-sec and was terrified of putting on pants so I wore a "fancy" hospital gown that my friend had gifted me. I brought it along thinking I would wear it while laboring but I didn't labor at all!
Going home, I wore drawstring pajama pants since I was still too terrified of putting on my yoga pants.

Empire waist dresses, maternity skirts and tanks, nursing tanks, gym shorts.

I lived in my maternity sweats/yoga pants and hoodies with a nursing cami underneath for the first few weeks. You'll still be pretty puffy and sore at first so go for comfort.

In the hospital I wore just the hospital gown. For the trip home, and for about a week after, I wore Old Navy maternity yoga pants, nursing tanks, and this hoodie/robe from Old Navy http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=43027&vid=1&pid=545995002 I LOVE that hoodie - it has pockets! I am still wearing it and am about to order one for my sister.

I wore a loose-fitting knit dress and a nursing bra. The dress was easier than pants for frequent checks.

Yoga pants, nursing tank, wrap sweater.....three months later and that's still what I have on today. I do wear real people clothes now too, but when LO and I just stay home cozy is where it's at.

In the hospital I mostly just wore my hospital gown since I had a c-section and had sooo much swelling. Going home, I wore sweat pants and a nursing tank. Once the swelling went down, I wore yoga pants and nursing tanks for the first few weeks PP.

I wore my maternity jeans and a tanktop with a sweatshirt home from the hospital, it was October and cold! This time it'll be the hottest week of the year, maybe a maxi dress?

In the hospital I wore pajamas, including to come home.
The next day when we had to take her to the pediatrician I wore a skirt and a nursing top - after that I could fit into my PP jeans so I'm back to those with whatever tops I can find in my wardrobe that are nursing appropriate (still haven't managed to buy actual nursing tops).
At home I'm usually wearing shorts and a sleep bra, that's it. If someone other than my Mom comes over, I'll throw on a loose top that I can pull down to nurse.

In the hospital I wore the hospital gown and a robe when I knew people were coming to visit. I seriously missed that hospital gown after I got home...
To leave, I wore my maternity jeans and a shirt I liked.
At home, I wore sweatpants and an undershirt until I went back to work. When I got dressed for work the first day, my husband said 'Woah, I forgot that you used to look so good!' Um... thanks...

VS thermal pjs and robe. I wanted something pretty & new and the top buttoned down to my belly so it was perfect for nursing.
For the next week I lived in yoga pants, nursing top & cardigan.

I wore super soft nursing pajamas. It felt so good to shower after having DD and put my soft pajamas on with a pretty robe. I think I wore maternity yoga pants and a t-shirt home though.
