What do you wish you knew, or what are you glad someone told you, about pregnancy/childbirth/parenthood?

I am SO glad that our nurse mentioned that baby girls can have vaginal discharge in the first few days as your hormones are passing through them. I will be mentioning this to any friends pregnant with girls, because I would have straight panicked had I not known 😂

I have a friend who had her first baby fairly young and packed her pre-pregnancy clothes to the hospital, thinking she’d be able to wear them home. (She now tells every pregnant friend that yes, you will still look 6 months pregnant when you leave the hospital!)

Another friend said the biggest surprise of motherhood was the pain of breastfeeding and engorgement. And when her milk came in, she had no idea that’s what was happening!

Any others?! What do you “warn” moms about?
