My son just wore the onesie that the hospital put him in when he was born. But I'm hearing more and more moms who will dress up their LOs while they are at the hospital (not the "take home" outfit).
Did you just have your LO wear the hospital onesies or did you dress him/her up in your outfit while they were in the hospital?

They had a long sleeve shirt and pants for her. I didn't dress her in normal clothes until it was time to go home. I didn't realize people did.

the long sleeve side snap top the hospital provides, a diaper, and swaddle blankets... I don't think I'd dress up a newborn in other clothes at the hospital.

She wore hospital onesies. I think they were short sleeved? I honestly don't remember. We put her in normal clothes the day we brought her home.

The hospitals don't provide stuff for the baby to wear here so we brought our own. Nothing fancy though- just long sleeved onesies, hats and socks. We actually got in trouble with the midwives for not having outfits that covered his legs, even though we had blankets and it was BOILING in the recovery ward.

Our hospital wanted us to bring sleepers for him so we brought 3 thinking we weren't going to be there long.

A diaper. He was wrapped in a Swaddle most of the time so he didn't need clothes. That is still how he is mostly dressed.

The hospital supplied onesies. We figured wear theirs - less laundry for us! ( we were in for 4 nights)

We just used the shirt the hospital provided... and their swaddle blankets along with that.

I dressed DD in the hospital shirt that was provided to us. A new shirt was given to us upon request, so she was always clean.
I took a few outfits for her, but I figured, the less laundry I had to do when I got home (I had a CS) the better.
We did have a going-home outfit, though.

We used the shirts and receiving blankets provided by the hospital as well.

I will use our own clothes, because the hospital detergent gives me horrendous rashes (like painful/burning feeling), and I won't risk that with our LO. As soon as the first bath is done he/she will be in our own clothes and blankets.

@msmini: Interesting! Never thought about the hospital detergent giving rashes. Our LO has eczema and had it since he came home from the hospital. I should consider this for our 2nd baby. Thanks for the insight!

Our hospital kept her in a short-sleeved tee, diaper, and Halo sleepsack. We didn't dress her in our own clothes until we were ready to leave.
