Dh takes anything that is given to him - including about 30+ pears. What do I do with them so they don't go to waste?

@Ash: send them to ME!! We love pears. Anyways, I'd peel, core, slice, and cook in the crockpot to make pearsauce. Freeze it in ice cube trays and use in place of oil in baking, or save for when LO is eating solids (it'll come sooner than you think!)

I'd freeze and use in smoothies or for baby food. And definitely make some pear desserts or appetizers. I really like prosciutto wrapped pears with some balsamic drizzled over; or a salad topped with cheese, pears and walnuts. core them, cut them in half, roast in the oven until fork tender (20-30 minutes) and then mash them in a cuisenart (or whatever you have!) for an amazing pear-sauce. i made it for LO and DH and i were wondering why we didn't make it for ourselves!
