I work in Marketing at a park district. I mostly do graphic design, but I also do a fair bit of social media, media buying, PR, etc. Marketing for a park district is fantastic because you're basically marketing fun! My husband's degree is in Theoretical & Applied Mechanics (essentially Mechanical Engineering) and he primarily writes/supports Finite Element Analysis software for a big company. Because he's writing the software, he's often called in to produce the models for other departments which is a lot more fun for him than the programming stuff.

We're both aid workers, so that means the type of work we do changes with each assignment. DH mostly teaches ESL and does translation work. I've been everything from a school administrator to translator to teacher and more.
Currently while we're in the USA for additional training, we're in school part time and working part time outside our aid organization. DH is doing electrical work and I'm a doula/childbirth educator.
When we move to our next assignment in Kosovo, I'll be teaching Childbirth Education and DH will be teaching financial management and small business ownership.

I'm currently a SAHM but was a child protection social worker for several years; I also taught 7th grade for two years through a nonprofit organization in the US.
DH is a civil engineer with a large, multi-national company, currently working in infrastructure, more specifically, the oil and gas industry.

I am a PT registrar/curator at a small art museum while I finish my MA in art history. DH is a patent paralegal for a pharma company. Come May I will be SAHM until I find a FT job, which could take a while!
