People always tell me what to bring. They usual requests are buffalo chicken wontons, texas caviar, or these little toasts I make that have fig jam, proscuitto, blue cheese, and a balsamic reduction.

@junebugmama: What is Texas caviar?
I like to bring appetizers, but I have a pot luck next week and I think I will make some pumpkin-pie brownies

My fave to bring is pulled pork in the slow cooker and buns. Everybody loves a pulled pork sandwich.

@MediaNaranja: It's basically a chunky type of salsa. It's very simple, but everyone loves it. It's really strange.

My stand-by is a cheese ball and crackers. A lot of our friends are vegetarian and/or gluten-free, so this is one of the few dishes that everyone can eat (rice crackers for the GF folk of course). I use my grandma's recipe and it is delicious.

We have lot lucks at work every other month or so. I alternate between drinks or sweet and sour meatballs. I don't cook at all and the sauce for the meatballs only has two ingredients that you just dump over the meatballs in the slow cooker. (Chili sauce and grape jelly, 12 oz of each.) Everyone at work loves them.

Usually dessert- some type of cake. Occasionally a salad or something else veggie if I'm concerned there might not be much else I'll want to eat.

We usually bring something different every time! In the past, we've brought lasagna, pulled pork sliders, mac n cheese, pot roast, various desserts... we've got a potluck in 2 weeks and I'm thinking of bringing a jambalaya.

Appetizers definitely - most popular to date are prunes wrapped in chicken bacon, cheese ball, salmon dip (fondly referred to as fish goo) and Southland rolls.
Me and my close girlfriends do monthly themed pot lucks so that's encouraging us all to branch out and try new recipes!

I like to bring some kind of veggie or fruit usually because I find there's never enough at potlucks! I especially love Caprese Salad and a bowl of diced watermelon. Those always get eaten. I also make pasta dishes sometimes.

It's different every time! Last summer I always brought a strawberry, walnut and feta cheese salad with a homemade strawberry balsamic dressing.
For thanksgiving this year I made a paleo pumpkin pie and a squash, apple and cranberry bake.
DH is notorious for his mashed potatoes so that's a common dish as well.

Texas caviar, green bean casserole, or pistachio torte depending on what's needed.
@junebugmama: @MediaNaranja: I wonder if ours is the same. I've heard of several different versions. I use black eyed peas, shoe peg corn, one small diced tomato, cilantro, and italian dressing. We eat it with tostitos scoops!
