I was going to say fudge bars but then I remembered that *these* are fudge bars:

I call them breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night snack.
(I won't lie. I had an ice cream bar on my drive to work this morning.)

So my husband calls them Icy Chocs....as does his whole family. And I was making fun of that name when he asked me what I call them...and then I realized....I don't have a name for them! I haven't eaten any in a loooong time. I was thinking ice-cream-on-a-stick, but that didnt sound quite right.

@babycanuck: my husband would have those eaten on less than a week, I guarantee. He's obsessed with them.

@Anagram: that might be me. I've been trying to only indulge once a day, but I've had a few days where I ate *cough*three

Growing up we always called them Revels but as a grown up I buy the better brands and just call it an ice cream bar.

@wheres_c: ahhhh! That's probably where they get icy chocs from. It's just switched around...huh.
Any Canadians here? Do you guys call them ice cream bars or something else?

@babycanuck: omg. Obviously--- your name. Duh. Was trying to figure out if icy chocs is a Canadian thing (my husband's family lives outside Toronto) or a twist on the British term, since he is Sri Lankan and as a former British colony a lot of Brit terms are still used there. Probably icy chocs is the Sri Lankan take on choc ice...or maybe hubby's family is just inventive.

@babycanuck: different shape, same concept!
For me its like how we call all tissues a Kleenex, even if we don't buy that brand!

@babycanuck: wow!! now I know what to do with my spare cube freezer that I bought to store breastmilk! Dove bar freezer!!

I call them Dilly/Dove bars. This is not helping my ice cream cravings tonight. The rectangular ones in the photo that @babycanuck: posted are what I call ice cream bars.

@Anagram: Yep, that's a Revel. I know that's a brand, but I typically refer to any vanilla ice cream dipped in chocolate on a stick as a Revel. Unless it's from Dairy Queen, then it's a Dilly bar.
I've never heard the term icy-choc before.
