We have a Diaper Dude crossbody diaper bag and I like it, but it's hard to carry when I have both kids with me at the park or the zoo. I like it more for long trips in the car, etc. I was thinking of some kind of backpack/purse that I could throw my stuff and a few baby essentials into, but I can't find exactly what I am looking for.
Do you have a smaller bag or purse you carry when you don't want your whole diaper bag?

I carry a toddler size backpack inside of my backpack with a few diapers wipes a snack and a toy

I have wet/dry bags for cloth diapers so I just shove one of those with everything for a diaper change in my purse (which is a cross body bag with extra space).

I just have a decent-sized purse from Target that has three compartments. I use the main one for my stuff, one compartment for a diaper clutch, and one compartment for a onesie & baby stuff (newborn days=receiving blanket & pacifier, now=snacks & bib, etc)

I use a le sport sac messenger bag. I keep a change of clothes in the car for the potty trained 3 year, and have a gallon size ziplock with a changing pad, wipes, a couple diapers, and spare pajamas for the baby. That way I can just move that whole ziploc between bags as needed. It's fine but. It perfect.

I actually don't use a diaper bag. I have a couple of regular purses I've had for years that I switch between every few months. One is a cross body bag. The other is a hobo style. I keep a small zippered bag tucked in my purse with diapering essentials. Then I also have another diaper essential kit ready to go in my car.

@DesertDreams88: Ive been going back and forth between using a diaaper bag and throwing a small purse inside and just using a bigger purse that I can throw diapers in.

I have an adult-sized backpack with an organizer in it for our regular diaper bag, but I use this Baggu pouch for what you're talking about (diaper bag lite 
). I have 2 diapers, small thing of wipes, a plain onesie, a paci, and a doggie poop bag instead of a real wet bag. it's so light! I fold the pouch over on itself and it can be stuffed into any of my tote bags or bigger purses.

I use a Ju Ju Be Light as my everyday purse and then throw stuff in there. I also use a diaper clutch which I toss in too.

I've been throwing diapers, wipes, etc in my regular purse for now. It's a large tote.

My setup is the exact same one as @Foodnerd81:
If I use another bag I just move the ziplock to the other bag. I also keep one ziplock in the car and one in the strollerbasket.

I find it so easy to clip the entire diaper bag onto the stroller handle that I pretty much always default to doing that. Yesterday we did a farm/pumpkin patch outing though and it was too muddy for a stroller so I just shoved some cloth wipes (for her nose) and some of her portable snacks into my regular purse.

My stroller is my car 98% of the time so now that LO is older and I don't need as much I just hang the smallest size baggu bag off the stroller hook. Diaper, wipes, snacks, wallet, water, extra leggings for her. The nanny is really the only one who uses the diaper bag when she goes out.
If I do take the car, sometimes I will throw that baggu into my purse.

I have a skip hop portable diaper tote thing that I use sometimes. We rarely drive and mostly use a stroller so then I just tote along the diaper bag. If I'm taking her somewhere straight from work/daycare pickup, I throw an extra diaper and some wipes in my work bag

I have a crossbody backpack that I like to use on outings. Even though we're well out of diapers, I usually need to bring wipes to clean hands, an extra pair of socks (pants sometimes, if there's mud around), a snack, water bottle, etc.

I have't really used a diaper bag since DD is almost 2. Most of the time I carry her cute Skip Hop back pack, or I use my own fashion back pack or long champ.
