If it's rainy, how do you entertain your LO's? Bonus if it involves staying home and not going out and about. It's not that nice here this morning and the girls are currently playing with Play-Doh, my next idea is reading library books...but I'm not sure what to do next. They have a million toys but are always 'bored'...

DD has a ton of musical toys that I don't leave out so on rainy days I pull them out and that will entertain her for awhile. I also let her paint in the bathtub - she thinks it's hilarious to get covered in paint and cleanup is a breeze since she is already in the tub. Sometimes if it's warm enough we will play in the rain for awhile!
Also when I use to nanny older kids we would bake or cook - something that we don't make a lot so it feels like a treat. Or build a fort and then watch a movie hanging out in the fort. Scavenger hunts around the house can be fun especially if the last thing is a new game or treat. I always look at the dollar store or dollar spot at target to keep random new things around.

Fun bath with glow sticks and ice...washing toys in the sink, baking, movies, mixed media art (glueing feathers etc, markets, crayons, foam stickers), audio books, crafts I've got ticked away...

Same here today. And we're at the beach house. Womp womp.
TV in the morning. I'm about to turn it off and do some active playing (letting him chase me etc) Pray for a long nap. Lol.
After the nap we'll probably go to the mall or I may drive to the aquarium if I'm feeling really ambitious (it's 45 mins away and I'd be solo, so not sure I feel like it!) -

We always try and hit the indoor play areas when it rains (it rains here a lot in WA!) but if we're staying home
Lots of drawing pictures
Painting
Lately she loves doing markers on her dry erase board
Give her a stack of junk mail and let her practice with scissors
Bake together
Sticker activity books
Read together
Puzzles
Random crafts from the target dollar spot
Melissa and Doug reusable sticker pages
Kinetic sand (only on the hardwood so I can vacuum it up easily)
Screen time!
If you're going stir crazy and don't want to turn on the tv anymore just put on some rain jackets and boots and let them play out in the rain! -
Crafts, free play, games, movies.
