Pretty self explanatory title. My 2.5 year old has recently decided to tell me, "No," and throw himself to the ground when I tell him to come to me, whether it is to get into the car, change a diaper, leave the playground, etc. There have been quite a few time outs in our house this week, and we went home from the pool after 5 minutes because he refused to listen yesterday
I know this is likely to just be a phase where he is testing boundaries, but I'm open to any tips and advice on how to handle this!
. The books call it giving an incentive, but its basically bribery. "Its time to go home for cake. Quick, quick, you want cake, right?". Or I make it a game - "quick, get into the pushchair before I count to ten" - E loves trying to do things before I reach 10. But, to be fair, 2 wasn't such a tough age for us - now, at three, she negotiates and it makes me rage
