I had 1/2 a can of coke with my lasagna. I didn't feel like throwing the other half away, so I drank a bottle of water and poured the soda in the empty bottle!
Now it will stay nice and bubbly til tomorrow!!!!!!! 
Crazy how this makes me so happy.

Oooh I can't do that. I have tried but always feel like the soda goes flat if I move it to a bottle. I'm obnoxiously sensitive about soda and how fizzy it is.

I don't drink soda. Fizziness has a weird dietary effect with me. My nanny drinks flavored sodas all the time and I bought her one of those soda makers for Christmas! She loved it but I always see her leaving a small amount of soda in her glass. I'll tell her to pour it into one of the empty bottles! Great idea

I put it back in the fridge for consumption tomorrow. Not as great as a freshly popped can, but I can't bear to throw it away!

when I used to drink soda I rarely ever had left overs especially from a can. I just drink it with the mindset that it needs to be finished, because it doesnt taste the same aftewards

@chopsuey119 you're a genius with the bottle though!! I've poured from a 2 liter into a smaller bottle and it keeps the fizziness for a long time. Takes up less space and great for if you want to take a soda for the road but only have 2 liters.

I like flat soda... I often open a bottle/can of soda and leave it lying around before drinking it. Weirdo!

@Mrs. Yoyo: I also like to boil my coke with ginger and lemon sometimes. I prefer fountain sodas to canned/bottled soda because there usually isn't as much carbonation.

I don't think I have ever not finished a soda lol... I don't know what I would.do if I didn't finish it.

OH! Be careful not to fill up the water bottle too full, especially if it's one of those flimsy, less plastic ones - the carbonation/pressure builds and twice, I've had the lid just pop right off! Almost took out an eye!
