We have old BBs, Droids, etc. sitting in our desk. I've been meaning to donate it, but haven't a place yet-- need to get on this for the holidays.

I sold my iphone4 online for like $150. There are a bunch of sites that will buy old phones for decent money.

There is a charity that sends them to soldiers overseas...let me see if I can find the name.
ETA: here it is: http://www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com/Also, many domestic violence programs (either shelters or a DV unit at a DA's office) accept used cell phones for their clients.

I think I donated a bunch of phones at the Body Shop. I believe that they work with a domestic violence network to provide phones to women at risk.

We still have my SO's old one...not sure why. I turned mine in to Best Buy, got store credit, and applied that to my new phone.

We just traded ours in for a $100 credit at Verizon. They recycle them. I've donated them to women's shelters in the past.
