In my case, it's hooded towels and small blankets. Because they're personalized it's not likely I'll use them again. So, yeah, it sounds nice to keep them because they're sentimental. But...I'm in an NYC apartment. Enough said.
Even donating them is kinda weird since they're personalized. I kinda want to toss them but feel guilty.
What do you do? Bonus if you have zero storage space.

My SIL is still using a personalized towel from her first on her ninth. If you're going to have other kids, does it really matter if it's personalized? They likely won't even know

You can join a monogram resale page on FB and sell them.

@MaryM: Well, I also should have added I'm not sure if I'll have another. Waiting for my next round of IVF and I'm only doing one round (for my sanity). Which is another reason I hate to hold on to something that's not ideal. Our apartment is jam packed and monogrammed/personalized stuff is very popular among our circle of friends and family. So I'm positive that if the miracle of another happened, I'd then get boatloads for that baby.
@looch: I probably don't have THAT many. But I am doing that with my husband's sentimental t-shirts as a surprise!

You can recycle it. Textile recycling is a thing. The North Fave has a been. So does Thread up but you have to be selling things.

I reuse it for the baby for now- c has recently learned to read her name and noticed that the baby's towel says her own name- oops. But @Mrs. Pickle: idea is great, even if you offer it free.
I remember growing up a babysitter had the same name as me and I got a bunch of hand me down name clothes from her.

I would just give them away. Just because something's personalized doesn't mean it's worth saving. And lots of people in need won't be that picky about whether there's personalization.

@Mrs. Pickle: What group do you recommend? I am having trouble figuring out which groups are active. It looks like there's a bunch of "First Letter" groups but it would be awesome to have one huge general group with searchable posts!

@babybean404: I'm in one for the letter R. I actually don't know of a general group. Sometimes people will post monogrammed items in the group "Smocking Hot Mamas."

One of my best friends has a daughter with the same name so I sent it to her. She gets hand me downs and I get crap out of my house. Win/win
For things with her initials monogrammed on there I try to sell on a Facebook group and then eventually just donate if they don't sell.

@Mrs. Pickle: we are in the same group. I don't have a ton of stuff, mostly all initial, but I will send it to you when we are done with them. Most are all bigger sizes so you won't need for a while.

You could still donate it if you can't resell it! It is really easy to take the monogram off of stuff with a seam ripper.

@SweetiePie: I've done it twice, now, those sentimental quilts...I have one I made out of old tees of mine and one that is places we visited together.
I plan to do a baby clothes quilt for my son some day, and I will use the monogrammed blanket (we only have one and it has his name and birthdate on it, so not likely we can resell it) as part of it.

@SweetiePie: I did it myself. I started by doing some lap quilts that were made from bandanas, to practice lining up and binding.
For the baby clothes quilt, I want to keep the fronts of the pieces intact. I plan to make a large panel and then integrate the pieces by hand.

@Alivoo01: My mom used to get us brand new backpacks from Land's End that had been returned for an incorrect monogram and save tons of $$$. You can't even tell once you've washed it.
